Sonoran Days and Nights

Last night, we closed out the Sabbath with our church outdoors by the bonfire and it was so beautiful! The sun setting over the Sonoran Desert was phenomenal.

Today, Paul and I went on a hike on A-mountain. When people think of the desert, they generally think of how dry and lifeless it is but our Sonoran desert is filled with moments of beauty that I appreciate all the more because they grow in such harsh conditions. Such a beautiful reminder of God’s love for His children. Regardless of the sin and evil that fills the world, God’s beautiful love thrives and shines, presenting a stark contrast with the barrenness that surrounds it and draws humanity to Him.

Beautiful contrast

Cute little barrel cactus I almost stepped on.

These clouds look like they’re coming out of the same peak and spreading across the sky
